About The Position

Azzip Pizza Shift Leaders are hands-on leaders responsible for motivating and influencing the team and helping the store succeed. When the General Manager or Assistant General Manager is not present, the Shift Leader ensures employees and customers have positive experiences, leads Azzip’s culture, and maintains the company’s standards for pizza quality, customer service, and restaurant cleanliness. Starting pay is $17.65+ per hour, including $14.65 base pay and a $3-per-hour tip guarantee. Shift Leaders also earn paid time off, receive a free pizza every shift, and are eligible for health care benefits if full-time.

The role is performed in a fast-paced, energetic kitchen focused on teamwork and customer experience. The kitchen may become hot from ovens and other equipment; air conditioning and ventilation are provided. The role may involve airborne particulates from flour and other dry ingredients, allergens, and moderate noise. It requires standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example through hands-on pizza making, customer service, and keeping the restaurant clean and organized.
• Open the store by creating, prioritizing, and delegating a morning preparation list.
• Close the store by completing nightly reports, ensuring cleaning tasks are completed, and handling bank deposits.
• Teach and coach employees to follow Azzip standards for ingredient preparation, pizza making, and customer service.
• Communicate about and resolve customer and employee concerns, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Place nightly vendor orders as needed.
• Foster a fun work environment by maintaining a positive attitude.
