About The Position
LV Petroleum is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead operations at Black Bear Diner. The role combines restaurant-industry knowledge and leadership to create a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy quality meals and service. The Assistant General Manager oversees restaurant operations, maintains food quality, customer service, and cleanliness standards, and supports the diner’s business performance. The role also includes leading and developing associates, managing financial performance, engaging with guests, collaborating on menu updates and promotions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant or diner environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team and foster a culture of excellence.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong commitment to high-quality dining experiences and excellent customer service.
- Ability to think quickly and address daily operational challenges effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations and maintain high standards for food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Lead, train, and inspire associates while fostering a positive work environment.
- Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures to improve profitability.
- Engage with customers, support memorable dining experiences, and address issues or feedback.
- Collaborate with chefs on menu updates and special promotions.
- Drive marketing and promotional efforts, including community events and outreach, to attract and retain customers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe environment for staff and guests.
