About The Position

LV Petroleum is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead operations at its Black Bear Diner. The role combines restaurant-industry knowledge and leadership to create a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy quality meals and service. The Assistant General Manager oversees restaurant operations and helps ensure high standards for food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and safety. The role also leads and develops associates, monitors financial performance, supports menu and promotional initiatives, and responds to guest feedback. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Requirements

At least 3–5 years of management experience in a full-service restaurant or diner environment.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team and create a culture of excellence.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Strong commitment to food quality and excellent customer service.
Ability to think quickly and address daily operational challenges effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with guests, staff, and vendors.
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations and maintain high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
Lead, train, and motivate associates while fostering a positive work environment.
Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures.
Engage with customers and address issues or feedback to support guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with chefs on menu updates and special promotions.
Drive marketing efforts and promotions, including community events and outreach, to attract and retain customers.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe dining environment for staff and guests.
