About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager with overseeing the store’s daily operations. The role includes mentoring team members to deliver fast, friendly service and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The position also helps maintain the store’s physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience.
• General computer knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and process sales transactions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to stand at all times.
• Must be able to kneel, lift, and bend with loads up to 25 pounds; the role also requires lifting up to 30 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Must be able to work any shift within the store’s operating hours and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude.
• Stock and restock merchandise throughout the facility.
• Check in vendor deliveries.
• Complete required paperwork, including shift reports, gas reconciliations, and cigarette counts.
• Assist with training team members.
• Assist the Store Manager as needed.
• Help ensure the physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
