About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) leads operations teams at a single fulfillment center and reports to the Building Director/GM. The position directly manages Operations Managers and oversees the efficiency of day-to-day operations, cost reductions, key fulfillment programs, and processing functions including pick, pack, and ship. It is a strategic leadership role that supports succession planning across the fulfillment network and requires active involvement in managing the fulfillment center and network. The AGM may act as the functional leader, second to the building GM, using a leading, deciding, driving, and integrating approach to managing the organization.

Requirements

A minimum of 8 years of Fulfillment Center leadership experience.
Demonstrated capability in managing large teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships to influence and collaborate.
Strong belief in and experience with data-driven decision making.
Proven ability to build effective teams and lead through influence and collaboration.
Ability to develop reliable, cost-effective systems and procedures.
Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and retaining quality talent.

Responsibilities

Supervise Operations Managers across all shifts and oversee all processing functional areas.
Assist with recruiting, training, and developing managers and employees.
Drive effective communication across processing areas to align the building on goals and key initiatives.
Participate as a key stakeholder in building-level process, capital, and other improvement projects, partnering with Seattle/Corporate teams as necessary.
Achieve defined operational metrics.
Plan programs to achieve high-level business objectives established by top-level management.
Achieve expense objectives within the assigned area.
