About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, providing leadership to ensure smooth operations, efficiency, and strong results. When the General Manager is absent, the AGM ensures the restaurant operates in accordance with brand standards. The role calls for a proactive, professional leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

The AGM leads shifts, coaches and motivates team members and shift managers, supports safety and compliance, and contributes to training, development, recruiting, onboarding, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. The AGM also assists the General Manager with restaurant operations.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 2 years of restaurant experience, with proven leadership on all shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Must pass the ServSafe Certification Course and Exam and maintain a current health card as required by local or state regulations.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout scheduled shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform motions involving walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, stretching, and repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure operational tasks are completed on time while maintaining quality assurance.
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members and shift managers, prioritizing the customer experience.
• Prioritize customer and employee health and safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Train and develop people interested in leadership roles, assist with development plans, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to identify staffing needs, interview candidates, and welcome new hires.
• Support the General Manager in achieving the restaurant’s financial goals.
• Provide 5-star customer service and prioritize customer satisfaction.
• Assist the General Manager in managing restaurant operations.
• In the General Manager’s absence, ensure the restaurant operates according to brand standards.
