About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in overseeing the store’s daily operations. The role includes mentoring team members to provide fast, friendly service and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. The position also supports store maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness, and performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• At least one year of retail experience.
• General computer knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and sales transactions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, lift, and bend.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; the physical requirements also state that the role may require lifting up to 30 pounds at times.
• Ability to traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as standing and working at a cash register.
• Must be available to work any shift within the store’s operating hours and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude.
• Stock and restock merchandise throughout the facility.
• Check in vendor deliveries.
• Complete required paperwork, including shift reports, gas reconciliations, and cigarette counts.
• Assist with training team members.
• Assist the Store Manager as needed.
• Help ensure the physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
