About The Position

Wendy's is seeking an energetic, hands-on Assistant General Manager to help lead a Queens restaurant. The role partners with the General Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences, develop a high-performing team, drive sales, and ensure daily operational excellence. The Assistant General Manager leads shifts and may lead the restaurant when the General Manager is away. The position requires a valid driver's license and a vehicle.

Requirements

At least 2 years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume quick service or fast casual environment.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing labor, food cost, and restaurant financial performance.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; the position description also specifies a vehicle.

Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in day-to-day restaurant operations.
Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding guest service, food quality, and cleanliness.
Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and develop team members.
Coach and mentor Shift Managers and Crew Members to achieve performance goals.
Drive sales, labor, food cost, and profitability through strong operational execution.
Manage schedules to support business needs while controlling labor costs.
Maintain inventory, ordering, and food safety standards.
Ensure compliance with Wendy's operating procedures, health regulations, and company policies.
Handle guest concerns professionally and create positive guest experiences.
Build a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture.
Lead the restaurant whenever the General Manager is away.
