About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in overseeing the store’s daily operations. The role includes mentoring team members to provide fast, friendly service and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. It also supports the store’s physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and appearance.

Requirements

• Maintain a courteous, friendly attitude.
• Have at least one year of retail experience.
• Have general computer knowledge.
• Be able to read, write, and operate electronic equipment and process sales transactions.
• Have good communication skills and be able to follow instructions.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Be able to stand, kneel, lift, and bend; lift up to 25 pounds as specified in the additional information and up to 30 pounds at times as specified in the physical requirements.
• Be able to traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Be able to work any shift within the store’s operating hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations.
• Mentor team members to provide fast and friendly service and a positive customer experience.
• Stock and restock merchandise throughout the facility.
• Check in vendor deliveries.
• Complete required paperwork, including shift reports, gas reconciliations, and cigarette counts.
• Assist with training.
• Assist the Store Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
