About The Position

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, driving sales, ensuring guest satisfaction, and developing team members. The role partners with the GM to achieve financial goals, maintain operational excellence, and cultivate a culture reflecting Eureka! Restaurant Group’s values of Energy, Discovery, and Community. The AGM may serve as acting GM when needed.

The position involves prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Work takes place around hot, cold, and hazardous equipment in a fast-paced, congested environment that may occasionally be loud, hot, cold, or physically demanding. Regular driving travel is required, as well as limited driving or air travel that may involve overnight stays. Travel notice may be provided on short notice. Occasional training may take place on- or off-site, by phone, or online. This is an at-will position.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Food Manager certified.
• TIPs certified.
• At least 2 years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong example of and passion for the company’s culture on every shift.

Responsibilities

• Model Eureka!’s values of Energy, Discovery, and Community.
• Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Deliver outstanding guest experiences by upholding Eureka!’s hospitality standards.
• Lead and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house teams to achieve service excellence.
• Manage scheduling, labor costs, and staffing in line with sales and productivity goals.
• Assist with recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management of team members.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor financial performance, including P&Ls, and assist in driving revenue growth.
• Partner with the General Manager to implement local marketing, community engagement, and sales initiatives.
• Serve as acting General Manager when needed to ensure continuity of leadership.
• Recruit, train, coach, counsel, and align employees; communicate job expectations; monitor, appraise, and review contributions; and enforce policies and procedures.
• Contribute information and recommendations to the company’s strategic plan; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends and system improvements; and implement change.
