About The Position

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager assists department heads in overseeing food and beverage department activities, including outlets and banquets. The role helps ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness standards and supports high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and marketing to maximize profits and deliver outstanding customer service. Responsibilities also include training, supervising, coaching, scheduling, and managing staff, along with frequent interactions with guests and vendors.

Requirements

• Read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Meet the minimum age requirement of the jurisdiction.
• Previous supervisory or management skills and experience.
• Math skills at a 12th-grade level.
• Reasoning skills at a high-school level.
• Language-use skills at a 12th-grade level.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of restaurant and/or hotel food and beverage experience is preferred.
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
