About The Position

The Assistant F&B Manager aids the manager in overseeing restaurant and Room Service operations and staff to maintain high standards and efficiency. The role supports smooth daily operations, service and food quality, staffing, inventory, payroll and revenue tracking, and restaurant profitability. The assistant manager also helps maintain a pleasant, clean atmosphere for staff and guests and may support other food and beverage outlets as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two to three years of restaurant experience.
Two years of management experience.
Ability to make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pleasant and positive personality.
Well organized.

Responsibilities

Maintain a consistently smooth-running operation.
Monitor and critique food quality and service levels.
Assist with hiring and training staff.
Schedule staff according to occupancy levels.
Monitor and track payroll and revenue daily.
Assist with coaching and counseling staff.
Ensure the restaurant's physical atmosphere and cleanliness, including inspecting tabletops, side-stations, and tray stands.
Assist with monitoring liquor, beer, wine, food, and other inventories; order new products; and communicate with the manager about upcoming events and promotions.
Assist with end-of-month inventories.
Attend department head, conference review, food and beverage, and pre-con meetings as required.
Ensure timely staff performance evaluations.
Maintain restaurant profitability through forecasting and staffing.
Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests.
Respond to reasonable tasks assigned by the Director of Restaurants.
Help out in other food and beverage outlets when needed.
