About The Position
Eclipse Maritime LLC is seeking qualified individuals for Assistant Engineer (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and Chief Engineer (limited, unlimited, OSV) positions to join our fleet. Our vessels are primarily engaged in research, survey, recovery, and supply operations, operating out of Astoria, Oregon, and San Diego, California. This role requires a DDE 4000 HP or DDE Unlimited (OICEW) qualification for Assistant Engineers. Familiarity with Caterpillar engines and extensive hydraulics is considered a plus. The position requires Oceans and STCW certifications.
Requirements
- Chief Engineer (limited, unlimited, OSV) OR Assistant Engineer (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) with DDE 4000 HP or DDE Unlimited (OICEW) qualification.
- Oceans and STCW certifications.
- Ability to work on research, survey, recovery, and supply vessels.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Caterpillar engines.
- Familiarity with extensive hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain vessel propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
- Oversee and manage engine room operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vessel systems, including extensive hydraulics.
- Manage engine room personnel (for Chief Engineer roles).
