Assistant Director
About The Position
The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the school in partnership with the School Director, supporting Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The role also supports children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth. The Assistant Director helps ensure the school follows company and state licensing standards; fosters an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents; promotes the company’s image; recruits, selects, and retains quality staff; and helps achieve company profitability.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous leadership experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must meet state education requirements and center/school requirements.
Responsibilities
- Help operate the school safely and effectively with the School Director and support the company’s safety vision.
- Take sole responsibility for the school in the Director’s absence.
- Promote children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
- Foster an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
- Promote the company’s positive image and help make it a provider of choice in the communities served.
- Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
- Help achieve company profitability.
