About The Position

The Assistant Director is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the school in partnership with the School Director, helping achieve Learning Care Group’s safety vision. In the Director’s absence, the Assistant Director has sole responsibility for the school. The role also supports children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth.

The Assistant Director helps ensure the school follows company and state licensing standards, fosters an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents, and promotes the company’s positive image in the community. The role includes recruiting, selecting, and retaining quality staff and helping achieve company profitability.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 years of Assistant Director experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school’s requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field preferred.
