About The Position

QSL Management is seeking an Assistant Director of Wellness for The Barclay at Vero Beach AL and MC. The role supports the Director of Wellness in the daily operations of the wellness (Nursing Care) department and directly supervises nursing and personal care staff. The Assistant Director helps manage resident well-being and care, supports staff onboarding and training, and provides hands-on care alongside team members to foster a positive department culture. The role also assesses residents’ health, functional, and psychosocial status, proactively manages their care, promotes service excellence, and works with the Director of Wellness to ensure the community meets federal and state requirements. Requirements

Have a caring heart and be willing to serve others.
Hold a current state LPN license.
Have two years of nursing experience.
Hold current CPR certification.
Be flexible and prepared to assist on a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing college or university.
Current First Aid certification.
Experience in assisted living or long-term care.
Experience in dementia care.

Responsibilities

Work with the Director of Wellness to support effective and efficient daily operations in the wellness (Nursing Care) department.
Directly supervise nursing and personal care staff in managing resident well-being and care.
Assist with onboarding and training new wellness staff.
Build a positive wellness department culture by providing care alongside team members.
Assess residents’ health, functional, and psychosocial status and proactively manage their care.
Ensure superior care and promote service excellence.
Work with the Director of Wellness to ensure the community meets federal and state guidelines and requirements.
