About The Position

QSL Management is seeking an Assistant Director of Wellness for The Barclay at Vero Beach AL and MC. The role supports effective and efficient daily operations within the wellness (nursing care) department, working with the Director of Wellness. It directly supervises nursing and personal care staff in managing resident well-being and care, and helps onboard and train new wellness staff. The Assistant Director of Wellness also assesses residents’ health, functional, and psychosocial status and proactively manages their care. The position promotes superior care and service excellence while helping ensure the community meets federal and state guidelines and requirements. The role requires flexibility to assist on a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The stated salary range is $66,000–$73,000.

Requirements

• Current state LPN license.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• A caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• Flexibility to assist on a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing college or university.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Experience in assisted living or long-term care.
• Experience in dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of Wellness to ensure effective and efficient daily operations within the wellness (nursing care) department.
• Directly supervise nursing and personal care staff in managing resident well-being and care.
• Assist with onboarding and training new wellness staff.
• Build a positive culture in the wellness department by actively providing care alongside team members.
• Assess residents’ health, functional, and psychosocial status and proactively manage their care.
• Ensure superior care and promote service excellence.
• Work with the Director of Wellness to help ensure the community meets federal and state guidelines and requirements.
• Be prepared to assist on a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
