Student Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an Assistant Director of Outreach Services/Licensed Psychologist. CAPS is an IACS-Accredited center within the Student Wellness unit, which includes various departments focused on student health and well-being. This role offers a unique opportunity to serve a diverse student population within a dynamic, integrated service model. This is a full-time, 12-month position. The Assistant Director of Outreach Services (ADOS), under the direction of the CAPS Executive Director, will oversee CAPS Outreach, Social Media & Technology, and Wellness Promotion. The ADOS will ensure policies and practices align with safe, effective, and professional conduct, state and federal laws, licensure requirements, accreditation standards, and UNLV/Nevada System of Higher Education mandates. The position is responsible for disseminating and ensuring adherence to UNLV/Student Wellness Unit/Division of Student Affairs philosophies and standards. The ADOS will integrate outreach and prevention programming into counseling center activities, manage resources, and oversee the development, interpretation, and execution of outreach policies and procedures. Clinical services include individual, couples, and group counseling, initial consultations (intake evaluations), crisis assessment and intervention, and outreach programming and consultation. The ADOS will provide direct clinical supervision and training to clinical trainees and/or psychological assistants. As a member of the CAPS leadership team, the ADOS will assist with departmental strategic planning and leadership responsibilities, including administrative supervision of Wellness Promotion staff and student workers.
