About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a vital role in managing the nursing department at Diversicare Sedgwick. The role supports staff hiring, scheduling, orientation, education, performance management, regulatory compliance, care planning, continuous quality improvement, and infection control.

Requirements

• Current RN license issued by a State Board of Nursing.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to coordinate with other departments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• LTC/SNF experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interviewing applicants and scheduling.
• Participate in orientation and in-service education training.
• Participate in performance reviews and enforce personnel policies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations for documentation from physicians and nursing personnel.
• Assist with care planning and Continuous Quality Improvement.
• Ensure proper infection control techniques are utilized.
