About The Position

Aviata Health Group is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to help shape its care community and deliver exceptional, person-centered care. The role provides education, mentorship, and leadership development to the clinical team while supporting nursing department goals, regulatory compliance, staffing, documentation, and positive interdepartmental relationships. The Assistant Director of Nursing may also provide direct resident care as staffing needs require.

Requirements

Current, unencumbered, active state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
RN nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current CPR certification.
At least three years of nursing experience in a setting serving the same age or type of resident population.
At least one year of management experience.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to facility function.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management, clinicians, and other team members.
Participate in developing and achieving nursing department goals and objectives, including staff development and educational programming.
Assist with implementing and monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice consistent with corporate and external regulatory guidelines.
Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff in accordance with the staffing plan and state-mandated staffing requirements.
Collaborate with department heads to promote positive interdepartmental relations.
Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring an accurate and effective documentation system.
Provide direct resident care as staffing patterns demand, interacting effectively with residents and families.
Create and implement ideas and concepts to continually improve healthcare systems and processes.
