About The Position

Diversicare is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing to support management of the nursing department at Diversicare Larned or Diversicare Sedgwick. The role helps maintain a warm, caring, safe, and professional environment and supports the organization’s service standards and values. The Assistant Director of Nursing assists with staffing and personnel processes, staff education, regulatory compliance, care planning, quality improvement, and infection control.

Requirements

• Current RN license issued by a State Board of Nursing.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to coordinate with other departments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• LTC/SNF experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with interviewing applicants and scheduling.
• Participate in orientation and in-service education training.
• Participate in performance reviews and enforce personnel policies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations for documentation from physicians and nursing personnel.
• Assist with care planning and Continuous Quality Improvement.
• Ensure proper infection control techniques are utilized.
