The Assistant Director of Nursing manages administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department and assists the Director of Nursing in the department’s overall operation. The role helps ensure operations comply with Company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations in order to maintain quality care. The Assistant Director of Nursing delegates the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability needed by Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors to perform their duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized, has strong knowledge of policies and governmental regulations, and is passionate about supporting and training stakeholders to provide excellent resident care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse in good standing with a current required state license.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• Current and active CPR certification.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong knowledge of policies and governmental regulations.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with the overall operation of the department in accordance with Company policies, nursing practice standards, and government regulations.
• Delegate the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors to perform their assigned duties.
• Support and train stakeholders to provide the best possible care to residents.
