About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the Director of Nursing (DON) by planning, organizing, developing, and overseeing the daily functions of the Nursing Service Department. The role helps ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards to maintain high-quality resident care, as directed by the Executive Director, Medical Director, or Director of Health Services.

Requirements

• Associate degree or advanced degree in Nursing.
• Current, valid state RN license.
• Current, valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the DON to help select, retain, develop, and lead the clinical team.
• Help coordinate nursing and ancillary services with other department leaders to ensure continuity of residents’ total care regimen.
• Assist with implementing the clinical staffing model and complete administrative duties as needed, including medical forms, reports, audits, evaluations, and charting.
• Participate in implementing and maintaining the company’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
• Participate in and prepare for facility surveys and accreditation programs conducted by authorized regulatory agencies or the company.
