About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Registered Nurse (RN) oversees nursing education, resident care standards, and nursing staff to support high-quality care and effective healthcare management within the facility. The ADON collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to implement best practices and comply with healthcare regulations, while fostering professional development and resident-centered care. The role contributes to operational efficiency and the organization’s reputation as a healthcare provider.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of Indiana.
• At least 2 years of experience in nursing management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality assurance standards.

• Experience in long-term care or community healthcare settings.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare management software.
• Advanced training in resident safety and quality improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee nursing education initiatives so staff are trained and current with clinical practices.
• Manage daily nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, supporting professional growth and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare management and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement resident care plans and quality improvement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
