Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required
  • Proven experience in a leadership role such as Assistant Director of Nursing or similar
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and patient care practices
  • Understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and stress management abilities
  • CPR certification required
  • Degree in Nursing (Associate’s or higher) required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing, overseeing, and evaluating all nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, etc.)
  • Support staffing procedures and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Help set departmental goals and support long-term planning for nursing services
  • Assist with organizing and coordinating admissions, nursing care, and patient care procedures
  • Support the development and enforcement of policies to ensure compliance and high-quality care standards
  • Monitor budgets and assist with managing departmental expenditures
  • Identify and help resolve issues or deficiencies in operations and patient care
  • Maintain and oversee accurate record-keeping procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Report to upper management and support leadership initiatives
