About The Position
We’re seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team! This leadership role plays a vital part in ensuring quality resident care, staff support, and regulatory compliance. Success in this position requires dependability, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to multitask and collaborate in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Is a licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
- Has strong technical skills and proven leadership/management experience
- Brings a background in geriatric or long-term care nursing
- Embraces a restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills
- Has working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards
Responsibilities
- Step in to assist floor staffing when needed
- Contribute to MDS, care planning, Performance Improvement, and Infection Control programs
- Hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs
- Review and maintain up-to-date and accurate resident records
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and consultants to design individualized care plans
- Ensure timely access to equipment, supplies, and other care resources
- Conduct assessments and implement effective infection control measures
