About The Position
Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor for its senior living community. Under the leadership of the Resident Care Director, the Nursing Supervisor manages the successful operation of the Resident Care Department and directly oversees, coaches, and supervises resident care service providers. The role provides on-floor nursing support to residents and involves interacting with family members. The incumbent also conducts internal and external assessments and is available to take on-call duties as needed.
Requirements
- Be a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
- Have a minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Assisted Living, Home Care, or Hospice.
- Have 2 years of experience as an RN in a care setting.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds individually.
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Be able to take on-call duties as identified by the community.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Certification in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association.
- Knowledge of dementia care.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with residents’ families and friends.
- Assure compliance with resident-care-related regulations, including medication management.
- Document and maintain accurate records as appropriate.
- Demonstrate personal and resident safety methods and procedures.
- Manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department under the leadership of the Resident Care Director.
- Directly oversee, coach, and supervise resident care service providers.
- Provide on-floor nursing support to residents.
- Conduct internal and external assessments.
- Be available for on-call duties as needed.
