About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring enterprise-wide compliance with federal and state regulations related to Title VI, Title VII, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 Sections 503 and 504, VERRA and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 1557, and anti-discrimination policies across the University, Hospital, and Regional Health Networks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience
• 7 years progressive work experience
• 2 years management experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act federal contractor requirements, partnering with SC Vocational Rehabilitation and MUHA Talent Acquisition Team to recruit, hire, and retain qualified individuals with disabilities. Monitor compliance throughout the employment cycle.
• Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, process student accommodation requests per university policy. Work in collaboration with each college’s ADA Liaison and engaging in the interactive process with both the student and the student’s program to provide reasonable accommodations.
• Manage and develop workforce plans to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Conduct intake assessments and investigations related to internal discrimination complaints and coordinate responses to federal and state agencies.
• Develop and maintain an intake assessment and complaint log; prepare semi-annual and annual reports identifying trends, risks, and areas of concern.
• Coordinate and organize semi-annual meetings with representatives from Regional Hospitals to provide updates on state and federal compliance requirements and enterprise policies.
• Deliver at least one enterprise-wide training annually on EEO, ADA, and related compliance topics.
• Collaborate with Student Health Services (SHS) and academic programs to manage vaccination exemption requests by facilitating the interactive process with students.
