About The Position

IHL Group is seeking a passionate Assistant Designer to join its Ladies Intimates division. The role supports weekly design functions and tasks and offers an opportunity to grow with a fashion-industry company. IHL Group is a New York City-based, trend-driven company specializing in women’s and children’s apparel. Established in 2007, it is a manufacturer and wholesaler with a North American and global presence across major channels.

The position is based in Midtown West, New York, NY, and operates in-office Monday through Friday. The anticipated base salary range is $40,000–$55,000. Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction for generating tech packs and BOMs.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Degree in Fashion Design and/or Product Development.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.

• Design internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with market research on apparel, graphics, and techniques.
• Create inspiration boards and sketch garments.
• Recolor CADs and prints for line sheets as needed.
• Work with the production team to initiate fabric and trim sourcing and create technical packages.
• Create presentation boards and help prepare for meetings and market week.
