Assistant Designer, Ladies Intimates
About The Position
IHL Group is seeking a passionate Assistant Designer to support weekly functions and tasks in its Ladies Intimates division. This is an opportunity to grow with a trend-driven fashion company specializing in women’s and children’s apparel. Established in 2007, IHL Group is a recognized manufacturer and wholesaler with a North American and global presence across major channels. The position is based in Midtown West, New York City, and operates in-office Monday through Friday. The anticipated base salary range is $40,000–$55,000. Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction for generating tech packs and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Degree in Fashion Design and/or Product Development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
- Assist with market apparel, graphic, and technique research.
- Create inspiration boards and sketch garments.
- Recolor CADs and prints for line sheets as needed.
- Work with the production team to initiate fabric and trim sourcing and create technical packages.
- Create presentation boards and help prepare for meetings and market week.
