About The Position

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers and helps maintain a neat, clean deli operation in accordance with corporate and state sanitation guidelines. The position assists the deli manager with the department’s day-to-day operations, including scheduling, inventory, budgeting, and financial matters. It also oversees department clerks, supports sales through ordering and merchandising, and prepares in-store food programs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
Satisfactory performance reviews.
Strong communication skills.
Basic literacy.
Basic computer skills.
High school degree or equivalent.
6–12 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service, including smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers.
Maintain a neat and clean work station and deli operation.
Assist the deli manager with day-to-day operations, including scheduling, inventory maintenance, and financial aspects.
Merchandise deli food products, including pricing, rotation, shelf allotment, and displays.
Prepare in-store-made prepared food programs, chickens, and side orders for the Roaster Chicken program.
Perform department sanitation duties in accordance with corporate and state regulations, including cleaning slicers, dishes, hot cases, and floors.
Stock deli warehouse orders.
Operate product-weight scales, slicers, and other departmental equipment.
Maintain cold case, hot food, and cooling logs consistent with store policy.
Work within company efficiency standards and control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties assigned by management and comply with company policies and procedures.
Oversee deli department clerks.
