About The Position

The Assistant Dairy Frozen Manager supports the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves customers time and money. The role requires reasonable knowledge of product storage, maintenance, and location, along with competency in inventory control, ordering, and receiving. The assistant manager must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize multiple tasks. They follow the direction of the Dairy Frozen Manager and act in that manager’s place when absent.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
Basic computer skills.
Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Follow federal, state, and local regulations and company policies regarding Dairy/Frozen Food operations, safety, and sanitation.
Fulfill or oversee weekly product orders in accordance with operating procedures.
Follow shelf-management practices, including suggested plan-o-gram layouts and handling new or discontinued items.
Follow and enforce proper product rotation to ensure customers have the freshest product available.
Follow company policy for receiving, handling, storing, and stocking product.
Assist in achieving financial goals, including sales, gross profit maximization, and minimizing shrink and supply expenses.
Train and develop Dairy/Frozen Food associates.
Direct subordinates in implementing plans of action and attaining goals.
Complete required Dairy/Frozen Food Department paperwork.
Assist with implementing, complying with, and executing Company initiatives pertaining to Dairy/Frozen, such as FIM and Project Renew.
Ensure coolers, freezers, and cases are at proper temperatures and in working condition.
Follow the Dairy Frozen Manager’s direction and act in their place when absent.
