About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of Continuing Education (CE) Program at the Translational Medicine Institute (TMI) housed in the Department of Clinical Sciences (DCS), College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. Working closely with the CE Events & Hospitality (CEH) Manager and team, this position involves coordinating logistics, planning, scheduling instructional sessions and events, and managing the in-person experience for all CE Course visitors and stakeholders. This role is vital in ensuring the success of events, meetings, and courses within the CE Program.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. Hospitality, Event Management, Project Management or in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple work projects and types of activities while meeting deadlines (i.e., project management) or Project Management Program certification (PMP).
  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience with facility coordination.
  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience with customer service.
  • Troubleshooting problems and providing customer/stakeholder support.
  • Excellent communication, team/interpersonal skills, and customer service.
  • Exemplary organizational, detail and time management skills.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Zoom.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States by time of application; the TMI/Clinical Sciences department will not provide visa sponsorship for these positions.
  • Successful candidate must pass a Pre-employment Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CE instructors and vendors to develop CE courses that address real and relevant medical (veterinary and human health care) training needs.
  • Communicate and manage the logistics of CE course development (course descriptions and agenda, teaching faculty, course scheduling, course notes &other content, vendor in-kind support, sponsor negotiations, etc.).
  • Draft CE course budgets that permit assessment of course financial viability and support stakeholders (CE participant, instructor, vendor) before, during and after CE events to ensure delivery of a CE Elevated experience.
  • Develop and maintain the Monday.com project management system and team coordinate training and SOP for the use of the Monday.com program.
  • Program onboarding and assist in the development and growth of team existing and new members.
  • Manage TMI CE Operating Program (Monday.com) with outside stakeholders to better communicate details like agendas, shuttles, instructors, contracts, etc.
  • Collaborate with members of the AV team in support of onsite CE course delivery, development of promotional materials, etc.
  • Collaborate with member of the Communications and Outreach team to proactively develop strategic marketing campaigns for our online, onsite and blended CE courses (including development of impactful digital assets, identification of strategic channels of distribution, and tracking of effectiveness).
