About The Position

At Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, you'll serve guests attending concerts, weddings, special events, private functions, and one of West Michigan's premier cultural destinations. We're looking for energetic, guest-focused Bartenders who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy creating exceptional experiences through outstanding hospitality. Whether you're serving guests at a sold-out concert, private event, wedding reception, or special dining experience, you'll play a key role in creating memorable moments for every visitor.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of bartending, restaurant, catering, banquet, or hospitality experience
• At least 17 years of age
• Ability to obtain TIPS Certification
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event schedules
• Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of bartending experience
• Experience in high-volume hospitality or event environments
• Knowledge of POS systems
• Strong mixology and beverage service knowledge

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a welcoming and professional attitude
• Follow standardized recipes and pour controls to ensure quality and consistency
• Process orders and payments through POS systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with liquor laws
• Support concerts, weddings, private events, and special programs
• Assist with event setup, service, and guest engagement as needed
• Help create a memorable experience for every guest
