About The Position

The Assistant Clinical Professor will provide clinical service experience with a patient-centered and evidence-based approach. This role requires a strong understanding of audiology principles and practices, including a wide range of specialties. The professor will also be involved in supervising audiology students and potentially engaging in insurance billing and patient management systems.

Requirements

  • Au.D. or Ph.D. degree in Audiology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience prior to implementation of AuD (i.e., master’s degree).
  • A third (3rd) or fourth (4th) year audiology extern currently enrolled in Au.D. program with a projected graduation date of 2025.
  • Clinical service experience with patient-centered and evidence-based approach.
  • Current, temporary, or permanent California Audiologist license or a Provisional Audiologist license and full licensure within three (3) months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Current California Dispensing Audiologist License.
  • Experience in a wide range of specialties in the field of audiology (e.g. evoked potential, balance function management, tinnitus management and pediatric audiology).
  • Proficiency in hearing aid dispensing to include programmable hearing aids of major manufacturers.
  • Previous supervision of audiology students.
  • Familiarity of insurance billing procedures and patient management system software.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
