About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a dedicated Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) to help lead nursing services at the hospital. The role focuses on patient safety, effective staffing, staff productivity, and the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures that comply with PAM Health system policies and procedures and accreditation standards. The ACNO serves as a liaison between nursing staff and administration and directs nursing service activities assigned for the hospital. Requirements
- Current RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital is located.
- At least five years of clinical nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three years of nursing management experience preferred.
- Certification in a specified field preferred, such as CNE, CRRN, CCRN, or PCCN.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the nursing unit(s) and hospital.
- Direct assigned nursing service activities for the hospital.
- Make recommendations for staff-to-patient ratios.
- Maintain a system to determine and provide adequate staffing for appropriate nursing care.
- Serve as a liaison between staff and administration.
- Promote staff productivity.
- Develop and implement nursing service policies and procedures in compliance with PAM Health system policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
