About The Position

PAM Health is seeking an Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) to direct nursing service activities at the assigned hospital. The role focuses on unit and hospital safety, appropriate staffing and nursing care, coordination between staff and administration, staff productivity, and the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures that comply with PAM Health policies and procedures and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital is located.
• At least five years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three years of nursing management experience preferred.
• Certification in a specified field preferred, such as CNE, CRRN, CCRN, or PCCN.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the nursing unit(s) and hospital.
• Direct nursing service activities for the assigned hospital.
• Make recommendations regarding staff-to-patient ratios.
• Maintain a system to determine and provide adequate staff for appropriate nursing care.
• Serve as a liaison between staff and administration.
• Promote staff productivity.
• Develop and implement nursing service policies and procedures in compliance with PAM Health policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
