Responsibilities

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding EDM program deliverables and functional objectives (i.e. cost, timing, efficiency, performance, mass, NVH, and quality).
  • Oversight of all aspects of the assigned EDM project for a given vehicle family (hardware, software, controls, calibration, packaging, prototype builds, validation, ED&D, DVPR, Statement of Work, Design Change Requests, etc).
  • Lead the Propulsion System Development Process (PSDP) for the EDM ensuring product readiness for approved launches and support the technical reviews/evaluations with respect to program targets/milestones.
  • Develop execution plans and coordinate engineering milestones to support critical mule and pilot builds (i.e. qty, MRD, design content, calibration needs, etc).
  • Responsible for ensuring program budget achievement identifying all possible efficiencies vs. approved business case.
  • Review, approve & track the EDM System DVP&R and support the development of the component DVP&Rs.
  • Co-lead proactive Risk Management tasks with the quality organization (i.e. DFMEAs, DFSS, LUR, Heat Map, Reliability Demonstration).
  • Track & lead issue resolution (GIMs, plant build and production issues).
  • Monitor quality metrics (e.g. CQI, 3MIS, 12MIS, EPUS, JD Power) for serial life EDM programs; lead root cause activities for field issues and implement containment actions to reduce warranty.
  • Support service engineering and MOPAR initiatives, review/approve service bulletins, RSUs and field action documents. Assist in developing service procedures/fault trees and resolution of service part supply issues.
