About The Position

The Assistant Caregiver provides support to residents in Memory Care, Assisted Living, or both. Assistance may be non-hands-on and includes transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining. The role also responds promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards. This is a full-time position with a varied schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification; if not certified, must be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire if required.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• May provide non-hands-on assistance to residents in Memory Care, Assisted Living, or both.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
