About The Position

The Assistant Caregiver works in Memory Care and may be asked to provide non-hands-on assistance to residents in Memory Care, Assisted Living, or both. The role transports residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining, and responds promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification.
• If not certified, must be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire, if required.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.

Responsibilities

• May provide non-hands-on assistance to residents in Memory Care, Assisted Living, or both.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
