About The Position

Mariner Finance is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support branch lending, sales, customer service, and daily operations. The position processes consumer loan applications, presents loan and other sales solutions based on customer needs, and helps the branch meet its individual and company performance goals. It also supports compliance and may coordinate daily branch functions when the Branch Manager is absent.

The position is based at the assigned branch and requires physical presence in the office. The stated schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM; and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Saturday hours may be required seasonally and as business needs require. The company may change the schedule to address business needs. Compensation is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, with eligibility for a monthly incentive based on individual and company performance.

Requirements

• At least three years of customer service or sales experience, including two years in consumer lending and/or financial services with consistent demonstrated achievement of assigned KPIs; supervisory or team lead experience may substitute for industry experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar programs and ability to learn financial services programs.
• Ability to complete essential duties and functions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Problem-solving, project leadership, and interpersonal skills in demanding situations, or completion of related coursework or training.
• Must obtain applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered by the branch.
• Must perform work-related tasks at the assigned branch location, except in an emergency as determined by the company in consultation with applicable regulatory agencies as necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics, or a related discipline; additional applicable years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Military rank of E-4, W1, or O1 and above.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Applicable required licenses to sell insurance products offered by the branch, held in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Process credit loan applications, present loan solutions based on customer needs, and present available sales products.
• Contact customers with past-due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
• Maintain a cash drawer, process payments, and deliver daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
• Meet or exceed individual and branch goals for sales of company products and services.
• Assist the Branch Manager with preparing reports as needed.
• Maintain compliance in the branch and learn applicable Federal, State, and Local consumer application laws.
• In the Branch Manager’s absence, coordinate branch functions and daily operational issues through communication with the District Manager.
• Perform additional functions as needed based on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent customer service.
