About The Position

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) supports the Branch Manager in achieving excellence in branch operations, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. The role combines operational leadership, financial insight, team development, customer relationship management, and participation in strategic planning to support long-term branch success.

The ABM oversees a mix of office and warehouse responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic hybrid environment, balancing customer engagement and warehouse oversight while managing competing priorities. The role includes travel of up to 25% to regional meetings, customer worksites, and branch locations. The ABM supervises warehouse and operations staff, including drivers and inside sales support, and works closely with sales, operations, and administrative teams. The position is based at 4940 Aultman Rd, Green, OH 44720.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or supervisory/assistant management role; the minimum work experience section specifies 1–2 years in warehouse/distribution supervision or assistant management.
• Ability to manage teams, oversee operations, and execute processes efficiently.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to use standard office equipment, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and perform repetitive tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in implementing company standards, optimizing warehouse and branch operations, and improving productivity and efficiency.
• Help achieve branch revenue and profitability targets by monitoring financial metrics, executing sales strategies, and identifying sales growth opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff, including warehouse personnel, drivers, and inside sales teams; provide training and performance feedback.
• Build and maintain customer relationships, address inquiries, and resolve issues to support customer satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager on strategic plans, using market and operational insights to support branch growth and operational excellence.
• Generate and review branch performance reports covering financial results, staffing forecasts and efficiency, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction; provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures, and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse and branch environment.
• Guide, assign, and train personnel to execute branch operations efficiently.
• Travel up to 25% to regional meetings, customer worksites, and branch locations.
