About The Position

The Assistant Branch Manager supports branch operations and collaborates with the Branch Manager to achieve branch performance goals and uphold compliance and operational standards. The role develops team members through coaching, helps meet service, lending, and product penetration goals, and contributes to strategic branch planning and initiatives to grow member relationships. The Assistant Branch Manager also serves members directly by processing loans, opening accounts, recommending products and services, and resolving concerns.

Requirements

• Proven high performance in a member-facing and/or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of FAIRWINDS products, services, systems, and lending procedures, with confidence presenting and recommending solutions.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, including the ability to handle escalated member concerns effectively and professionally.
• Proven success in sales, service, and relationship-building.
• Strong organization and goal orientation, with motivation to achieve both results and team success.
• Ability to collaborate with leadership on strategies and long-term branch planning.
• Readiness to take on a greater leadership role and serve as a partner to the Branch Manager.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, coaching-focused environment and develop the team to meet service, lending, and product penetration goals.
• Serve as a loan officer and interviewer, processing applications, disbursing funds, and educating members about lending solutions suited to their needs.
• Open new accounts and guide new and existing members on FAIRWINDS products and services.
• Support team members with cross-selling and relationship-building strategies to increase member engagement and deepen financial partnerships.
• Resolve member concerns professionally and promptly while protecting member relationships.
• Assist with strategic branch planning, including business lending strategies and initiatives to grow member relationships.
• Lead or support staffing, hiring, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to meet or exceed branch performance goals and uphold compliance and operational standards.
