ASGCO has an Assistant Branch Manager / Inside Sales opening for a candidate with a great positive attitude who excels at working in a team environment which helps drive the business. The Assistant Branch Manager / Inside Sales Representative supports the Branch Manager in the daily operation of the branch while managing inside sales, customer service, quoting, order processing, and sales support activities. This position serves as a primary contact for customers and works closely with outside sales, service, and service personnel to ensure customer requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and on time. The role also assists with branch supervision, inventory control, scheduling, and overall branch performance. The primary objective of this position is to support profitable branch growth by providing accurate inside sales support, excellent customer service, and reliable day-to-day operational assistance to the Branch Manager. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of inside sales, industrial sales, customer service, or branch operations experience preferred.
  • Experience with conveyor systems, bulk material handling, industrial distribution, aggregate, mining, cement, or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand industrial equipment and applications.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare accurate quotations and process orders with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple customer and operational requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP, CRM, or order-entry systems.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding ASGCO® products, pricing, availability, and delivery.
  • Prepare accurate quotations for conveyor components, belting, accessories, and services.
  • Enter and process customer orders accurately and promptly.
  • Follow up on open quotations, pending orders, backorders, and customer requests.
  • Recommend appropriate products based on customer applications and operating conditions.
  • Support outside sales representatives with pricing, quotations, order status, product information, and customer follow-up.
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional ASGCO® products and services.
  • Maintain accurate customer, quotation, and order information in company systems.
  • Resolve customer issues related to pricing, delivery, product availability, or order accuracy.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with daily branch operations and employee coordination.
  • Provide direction to branch personnel when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
  • Help coordinate work between sales, warehouse, service, fabrication, and administrative personnel.
  • Monitor open orders and ensure customer commitments are being met.
  • Assist with employee scheduling and daily work priorities.
  • Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient branch facility.
  • Ensure company procedures, safety requirements, and customer service standards are followed.
  • Monitor branch inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Assist with inventory counts and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate product requirements with purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, and other ASGCO® locations.
  • Review open orders and backorders to identify potential delivery problems.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and customer pickup requirements when needed.
  • Support branch sales and profitability goals.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to develop repeat business.
  • Follow up on inactive accounts, previous quotations, and new sales leads.
  • Work with the Branch Manager and outside sales team to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of ASGCO® products and conveyor applications.
  • Participate in customer visits, training, trade shows, and branch sales activities as required.
  • Respond to customers promptly and professionally.
  • Produce accurate and timely quotations.
  • Maintain accurate order entry and documentation.
  • Follow up consistently on open sales opportunities.
  • Support branch sales and gross-profit objectives.
  • Maintain strong communication between customers, outside sales, service, and branch personnel.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory and efficient branch operations.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of ASGCO® products and applications.
  • Provide effective branch leadership when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
