About The Position
Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is hiring a part-time Assistant Bread Baker to help prepare artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads using whole ingredients. The role is part of a team focused on food quality, customer service, and community. Afternoon and evening availability is required. Bread-baking shifts generally run from about 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a Sunday shift when the store is closed. During holiday seasons, schedules may include overnight shifts. Saturdays are off.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available to work afternoons and evenings.
- Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities to sit.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Large-scale baking or pastry experience; experience is preferred but not required, and training may be provided.
- Formal baking or pastry education.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and pay close attention to detail when preparing breads.
- Lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Follow applicable local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation regulations.
