About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is hiring a part-time Assistant Bread Baker to help prepare artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads made with whole ingredients. The role is part of a team focused on food quality, customer service, and community. The employer is willing to train a suitable candidate who lacks large-scale baking or pastry experience. Afternoon and evening availability is required. Bread-baking shifts generally run around 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a Sunday shift when the store is closed. During holiday seasons, schedules may include overnight shifts. Saturdays are off.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have afternoon/evening availability and be able to work the described Sunday shift.
• Ability to lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities to sit.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to adapt to change and work flexibly.
• Attentiveness to local, state, and federal food-handler and sanitation regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Large-scale baking or pastry experience; preferred but not required, as training may be provided.
• Formal baking or pastry education.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details when preparing breads.
• Lift and handle dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Follow applicable food-handler and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Work afternoon and evening bread-baking shifts, including a Sunday shift; holiday schedules may include overnight shifts.
