About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is hiring an Assistant Bread Baker to help prepare artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads using honest, whole ingredients. The role is part of a team focused on food quality, customer service, and community. Full- or part-time positions are available, and afternoon/evening availability is required. Bread-baking shifts generally run around 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a Sunday shift when the store is closed. During holiday seasons, schedules may include overnight shifts. Kneaders is willing to train the right person, and the role offers career development paths in restaurant leadership, retail management, and pastry and bread baking.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available to work afternoons and evenings.
Ability to lift dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to adapt to change and work flexibly.
Attentiveness to food-handler and sanitation standards and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Nice To Haves

Large-scale baking or pastry experience; preferred but not required.
Formal baking or pastry education.
