About The Position

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), School of Medicine, Odessa campus is focused on providing oncology care to the growing community through a partnership with the TTUHSC Division of Hematology/Oncology and UMC TLC2 in Lubbock. This will be a full-time role providing outpatient care at our Midland/Odessa clinics and inpatient care at our community hospitals, which are equipped with robust imaging and infusion capabilities.

Requirements

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Completion of an Internal Medicine Residency
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, a Hematology and/or Oncology Fellowship
• Board Eligible in Hematology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited Hematology Fellowship, OR Board Eligible in Oncology, or in the process of completing an ACGME accredited Oncology Fellowship

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive physical exams with review of medical history and review/interpretation of lab and diagnostic testing
• Develops and manages customized treatment regiments inclusive of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care
• Communicates with patients and family members regarding diagnoses, testing and treatment options
• Coordinates care by working as part of a community and regional partner
• Participates in quality improvement and other patient care programs
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
• Participates in teaching fellows, residents and medical students
• Opportunities to participate in research
