About The Position

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine is expanding its neurology services within the Department of Internal Medicine. This new initiative at our Odessa campus will offer comprehensive outpatient care, including full-scope diagnostic services such as EEGs, EMGs, and NCVs. The selected faculty candidate will have the unique opportunity to establish a new practice, benefiting from both academic and institutional support.

Requirements

• MD/DO or equivalent degree.
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, Neurology Residency or Fellowship.
• Ability to obtain a Texas medical license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through detailed medical histories and physical neurological exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including MRIs, CT scans, EEGs, and lumbar punctures.
• Prescribe medications, manage therapies, and develop care plans for chronic conditions.
• Educate patients on health management strategies.
• Collaborate with additional healthcare professionals as needed.
• Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows, residents, and medical students.
