About The Position

Texas Tech Physicians Endocrinology and Diabetes Center of Excellence is seeking an Endocrinologist to join their Faculty team. This role will focus on providing patient-centered quality care and participating in the training of Endocrinology Fellows. The position is full-time, primarily outpatient focused, and involves delivering lectures and training to support the Fellowship program. The clinic specializes in treating metabolic disorders, diabetes (type 1 and type 2), thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, PCOS, and other endocrine-related conditions.

Requirements

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an Endocrinology Fellowship
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through obtaining medical history and evaluating patient symptoms
• Order studies, tests, and ancillary services
• Prescribe medications, hormone replacement therapies, and lifestyle adjustments for treatment plans
• Provide ongoing care for diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, PCOS, etc.
• Coordinate care by working with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Document all services in patient medical record
• Participate in quality improvement and other patient care programs
• Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
• Participate in bedside teaching and lectures for fellows, residents, and medical students
